What is the difference between self-leveling and jelly builder gels?

Self-leveling gels naturally flow and smooth themselves out upon application, which is brilliant for fast overlays and minimizing filing. Jelly gels have a thick, pudding-like consistency that does not move, allowing you to sculpt multiple nails at once or build dramatic extreme lengths without the product running into the cuticles.
Do I need to use a base coat under these builder gels?

Yes, for maximum adhesion and to prevent lifting, you should always prep the nail and apply a dedicated gel base coat (like Indigo's Perfect Base or a Yoshi rubber base) before applying your hard builder gel.
Can these builder gels be soaked off with acetone?

No, traditional hard Builder and UV Gels are file-off only. They cannot be soaked off with acetone. You will need to use an e-file (nail drill) or a coarse hand file to remove the bulk of the product safely.
